Ethanol
CassavaTech's is primarily engaged in the business of producing of the first-generation ethanol (also known as ethyl alcohol or simply alcohol) from high-quality cassava, using the most advanced and smartest ethanol production technologies (e.g. washers, Peelers, Dryers, Feeders, Fermenters, Distillers, Stiller, Scanner and Monitoring Systems) and processes (e.g. fermentation, distillation and rectification processes) designed to meet the EU Regulation and International Standards.
Ethanol is used as the main ingredient in many products such as alcoholic beverages, aromas, preservatives, solvents, alcohol-based disinfectants and sanitizers.
All of the raw materials (Cassava) are used during the production process of ethanol. After the ethanol has been obtained, the waste material is used in the production of high-protein and Gluten free DDGS (Distiller's Dried Grains with Solubles and (WDGS – Wet Distiller's Grains with Solubles) for animal feed.
Denatured ethyl alcohol is ethanol with toxic additives, called denaturants, that make it poisonous, bad-tasting, and foul-smelling to prevent human consumption. Commonly used as a solvent, cleaning agent, fuel, or in cosmetics and specimen preservation, it is cheaper than potable ethanol because the denaturing process avoids beverage taxes. Common denaturants include methanol, isopropyl alcohol, and pyridine, which render the alcohol toxic.
